मानसतीर्थ-शौचप्रशंसा | Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity
स्वयंप्रभाभिनरिीभिर्विमानस्थो महीयते
svayaṃprabhābhinārībhiḥ vimānastho mahīyate | nānāmadhurabhāṣābhiḥ nānārātibhir eva ca ||
Bhīṣma dijo: «Sentado en un carro celeste, es honrado por doncellas divinas que resplandecen con su propia luz. Lo engalanan y lo atienden con muchas clases de dulces palabras y con variados deleites y placeres—imagen de los refinados goces que se dice acompañan al fruto de la conducta meritoria».
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights the traditional idea of karma-phala: meritorious conduct is portrayed as yielding honor and refined enjoyments in higher realms, symbolized by a celestial vimāna and radiant attendants.
Bhīṣma describes a person (previously discussed in the chapter) being exalted in a heavenly vimāna, attended and honored by self-radiant divine maidens who charm him with sweet speech and varied pleasures.
