Āloka-dāna (Dīpa-dāna), Sumanas–Dhūpa–Dīpa Phala: Manu–Suvarṇa and Śukra–Bali Exempla
सद्यः प्रीणाति देवान् वै ते प्रीता भावयन्त्युत । संकल्पसिद्धा मर्त्यानामीप्सितैश्व मनोरमै:
sadyaḥ prīṇāti devān vai te prītā bhāvayanty uta | saṅkalpasiddhā martyānām īpsitaiś ca manoramaiḥ ||
Dijo Śukra: Al ofrecer flores (en el culto), una persona complace de inmediato a los dioses. Complacidos, esos dioses—cuyo querer se cumple—hacen prosperar los fines de los mortales, concediéndoles los goces deseados y deleitosos que sostienen su bienestar.
