तत एव पुनश्चापि गतः स्वर्गमिति श्रुतम् राज्ञा वसुमता सार्थमष्टकेन च वीर्यवान्
tata eva punaścāpi gataḥ svargam iti śrutam rājñā vasumatā sārtham aṣṭakena ca vīryavān
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: Se oye que desde aquel mismo lugar, el valeroso volvió a ascender al cielo, junto con el rey Vasumat y con Aṣṭaka.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the Itihāsa theme that sustained virtue and meritorious action lead to heavenly attainment; the tradition remembers exemplary figures as reaching Svarga through their vīrya and puṇya.
Vaiśampāyana reports a received tradition: the valiant figure (implied from context) is said to have gone again to Svarga, accompanied by King Vasumat and Aṣṭaka.
