Adhyāya 71: Kaca and the Saṃjīvanī-vidyā
Devayānī–Śukra Episode
चकारान्यं च लोक वै क्रुद्धो नक्षत्रसम्पदा । प्रतिश्रवणपूर्वाणि नक्षत्राणि चकार य: । गुरुशापहतस्यापि त्रिशडुको: शरणं ददौ,उन्होंने ही कुपित होकर दूसरे लोककी सृष्टि की और नक्षत्र-सम्पत्तिसे रूठकर प्रतिश्रवण आदि नूतन नक्षत्रोंका निर्माण किया था। ये वे ही महात्मा हैं, जिन्होंने गुरुके शापसे हीनावस्थामें पड़े हुए राजा त्रिशंकुको भी शरण दी थी

acakārānyaṃ ca lokaṃ vai kruddho nakṣatra-sampadā |
pratiśravaṇa-pūrvāṇi nakṣatrāṇi cakāra yaḥ |
guru-śāpa-hatasya api triśaṅkoḥ śaraṇaṃ dadau |
Dijo Kaṇva: Encolerizado, y retirando su favor del antiguo esplendor de las constelaciones, hizo surgir otro mundo; y forjó nuevas estrellas comenzando por Pratiśravaṇa. Ese mismo magnánimo otorgó refugio al rey Triśaṅku, aun cuando el monarca había sido abatido por la maldición de su maestro.
