असावादित्यसंकाशो विश्वामित्रो महातपा: । तप्यमानस्तपो घोरं मम कम्पयते मन:,“मेनके! अप्सराओंके जो दिव्य गुण हैं, वे तुममें सबसे अधिक हैं। कल्याणि! तुम मेरा भला करो और मैं तुमसे जो बात कहता हूँ, सुनो। वे सूर्यके समान तेजस्वी, महातपस्वी विश्वामित्र घोर तपस्यामें संलग्न हो मेरे मनको कम्पित कर रहे हैं

Transliteration

asāv ādityasaṅkāśo viśvāmitro mahātapāḥ | tapyamānas tapo ghoraṃ mama kampayate manaḥ ||

Translation

Dijo Kaṇva: «Ese Viśvāmitra—radiante como el sol y grande en austeridad—entregado ahora a una penitencia feroz, hace temblar mi ánimo. Menakā, entre las apsaras, en ti se hallan en mayor medida las excelencias divinas. Oh bienaventurada, haz lo que me sea provechoso; escucha mis palabras.»
