वंशानुकीर्तनम् — Genealogical Recitation from Dakṣa to Yayāti and the Establishment of the Paurava Line
प्रेक्षमाणो वन॑ तत् तु सुप्रहृष्टविहड्रमम् । आश्रमप्रवरं रम्यं ददर्श च मनोरमम्,इस प्रकार राजा अभी वनकी शोभा देख ही रहे थे कि उनकी दृष्टि एक उत्तम आश्रमपर पड़ी, जो अत्यन्त रमणीय और मनोरम था। वहाँ बहुत-से पक्षी हर्षोल्लासमें भरकर चहक रहे थे
prekṣamāṇo vanaṁ tat tu suprahṛṣṭavihaṅgamam | āśramapravaraṁ ramyaṁ dadarśa ca manoramam ||
Mientras el rey seguía contemplando la hermosura de aquel bosque, sus ojos se posaron en un excelente eremitorio, encantador y deleitoso de ver, donde muchas aves, colmadas de alegría, cantaban. La escena señala en silencio el clima moral del āśrama: un lugar de contención, paz y orden dhármico, apartado de la agitación del mundo.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the āśrama as a dharmic refuge: harmony in nature (joyful birds, pleasing surroundings) reflects inner discipline and righteous order, contrasting with the turbulence of worldly life.
While the king is admiring the forest, he notices a foremost, beautiful hermitage. The atmosphere is serene and auspicious, marked by the cheerful calls of many birds.
