King Duḥṣanta’s Entry into the Forest Hunt
इति सत्यवती हृष्टा लब्ध्वा वरमनुत्तमम्,इस प्रकार परम उत्तम वर पाकर हर्षोल्लाससे भरी हुई सत्यवतीने महर्षि पराशरका संयोग प्राप्त किया और तत्काल ही एक शिशुको जन्म दिया। यमुनाके द्वीपमें अत्यन्त शक्तिशाली पराशरनन्दन व्यास प्रकट हुए
iti satyavatī hṛṣṭā labdhvā varam anuttamam | tathā paramarṣiparāśarasya saṃyogaṃ prāpya tatkṣaṇād eva śiśuṃ janayām āsa | yamunāyā dvīpe parāśaranandano vyāsaḥ prādurabhavat mahābalaḥ ||
Dijo Vaiśaṃpāyana: Así Satyavatī, exultante por haber obtenido un don sin par, se unió al gran vidente Parāśara y al instante dio a luz a un niño. En una isla del Yamunā apareció el poderoso Vyāsa, hijo de Parāśara.
वैशम्पायन उवाच

Satyavatī, pleased after receiving an unsurpassed boon, unites with the sage Parāśara and immediately gives birth on a Yamunā river-island to the powerful child Vyāsa, who will become a central sage in the Mahābhārata’s unfolding lineage and events.
