King Duḥṣanta’s Entry into the Forest Hunt
संचिन्त्यैवं तदा राजा विचार्य च पुन: पुनः । अमोघत्वं च विज्ञाय रेतसो राजसत्तम:,उन्होंने विचार किया, “मेरा यह स्खलित वीर्य व्यर्थ न हो, साथ ही मेरी पत्नी गिरिकाका ऋतुकाल भी व्यर्थ न जाय” इस प्रकार बारम्बार विचारकर राजाओंमें श्रेष्ठ वसुने उस वीर्यको अमोघ बनानेका ही निश्चय किया
sañcintyāivaṃ tadā rājā vicārya ca punaḥ punaḥ | amoghatvaṃ ca vijñāya retaso rājasattamaḥ ||
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: Tras pensar así, el rey deliberó una y otra vez. Al comprender que la simiente caída no tenía por qué ser estéril, aquel mejor de los reyes resolvió hacerla eficaz, para que ni su vigor derramado ni la estación fértil de la reina Girikā se perdieran.
