त॑ चापि पुरुषव्याप्रो बाहुवीयेण पाण्डव: । निहत्य तरसा वीरो नागरान् पर्यसान्त्वयत्,नरश्रेष्ठ पाण्डुनन्दन वीरवर भीमने अपने बाहुबलसे उस राक्षसको वेगपूर्वक मारकर वहाँके नगरनिवासियोंको धैर्य बँधाया
taṁ cāpi puruṣavyāghro bāhuvīryeṇa pāṇḍavaḥ | nihatya tarasā vīro nāgarān paryasāntvayat ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana dijo: Aquel héroe Pāṇḍava, tigre entre los hombres, mató al rākṣasa con la sola fuerza de sus brazos, con ímpetu y rapidez; y, hecho esto, tranquilizó a los habitantes de la ciudad—devolviéndoles el ánimo y la sensación de seguridad tras el terror.
