Aṃśāvataraṇa-kathana (Catalog of Divine/Asuric Portions in Human Births) — Chapter 61
तेषां तु विप्रकारेषु तेषु तेषु महामति: । मोक्षणे प्रतिकारे च विदुरोडवहितो5भवत्,कौरवोंके द्वारा किये हुए उन सभी अपकारोंके समय पाण्डवोंको उनसे छुड़ाने अथवा उनका प्रतीकार करनेके लिये परम बुद्धिमान् विदुरजी सदा सावधान रहते थे
teṣāṃ tu viprakāreṣu teṣu teṣu mahāmatiḥ | mokṣaṇe pratikāre ca viduro 'vahitō 'bhavat ||
Pero cada vez que se cometían contra ellos aquellas diversas injusticias, Vidura, de gran entendimiento, permanecía siempre vigilante, dispuesto a librar a los Pāṇḍavas de tales daños o, si era necesario, a disponer una contramedida adecuada.
