स सम्भावय नागेन्द्र मयि सर्व महामते । न ते मयि मनो जातु मिथ्या भवितुमहति
sa sambhāvaya nāgendra mayi sarva mahāmate | na te mayi mano jātu mithyā bhavitum arhati ||
Dijo Āstīka: «Oh señor de las serpientes, oh magnánimo, deposita en mí toda tu confianza. Soy capaz de llevar a cabo cuanto sea necesario. La esperanza y la fe que tu corazón ha puesto en mí no pueden, con justicia, resultar jamás vanas.»
