जरत्कारुरिति ख्यातो वेदवेदाड़पारग: । नियतात्मा महात्मा च सुव्रतः सुमहातपा:,उसका नाम है जरत्कारु। वह वेद-वेदांगोंका पारंगत विद्वान् होनेके साथ ही मन और इन्द्रियोंकों संयममें रखनेवाला, महात्मा, उत्तम व्रतका पालक और महान् तपस्वी है
jaratkārur iti khyāto vedavedāṅgapāragaḥ | niyatātmā mahātmā ca suvrataḥ sumahātapā ||
