शम एव यतीनां हि क्षमिणां सिद्धिकारक: । क्षमावतामयं लोक: परश्रैव क्षमावताम्‌,शम (मनोनिग्रह) ही क्षमाशील साधकोंको सिद्धिकी प्राप्ति करानेवाला है। जिनमें क्षमा है, उन्हींके लिये यह लोक और परलोक दोनों कल्याणकारक हैं

Transliteration

śama eva yatīnāṃ hi kṣamiṇāṃ siddhikārakaḥ | kṣamāvatām ayaṃ lokaḥ paraś caiva kṣamāvatām ||

Translation

Dijo Śamīka: “Sólo el dominio de sí (śama) otorga la realización (siddhi) a los ascetas dotados de paciencia. Para quienes poseen el perdón, este mundo es propicio y también lo es el más allá; el perdón resguarda su bien en ambos.”
