Jaratkāru’s Conditional Marriage Vow and Vāsuki’s Offer (जरत्कारु-विवाह-नियमः)
न हि शक्नोति त॑ यन्तुं पुत्र कोपसमन्वितम् । ततोऊहं प्रेषितस्तेन तव राजन् हितार्थिना,स्वयं महर्षि भी क्रोधमें भरे हुए अपने पुत्रको शान्त नहीं कर पा रहे हैं। अतः राजन! आपके हितकी इच्छासे उन्होंने मुझे यहाँ भेजा है
na hi śaknoti taṃ yantuṃ putra kopasamanvitam | tato ’haṃ preṣitas tena tava rājan hitārthinā ||
No puede contener a ese hijo poseído por la ira. Por eso, oh rey, deseando tu bienestar, me ha enviado aquí (como su mensajero).
