Vāsuki’s Anxiety and Brahmā’s Confirmation
As a colophon, the verse primarily teaches textual awareness: it marks completion of a unit of narration. In the broader ethical frame, the Garuḍa episodes typically highlight steadfast resolve, the weight of vows, and how cosmic conflicts (e.g., between birds and serpents) are woven into dharma-centered storytelling.
The text is not advancing the plot directly; it is concluding the thirty-fourth chapter on Garuḍa within the Āstīka Parva of the Ādi Parva. It functions as an editorial/recitational closure before the narrative proceeds to the next chapter.
