इन्द्राच्छतगुण: शौर्ये वीर्ये चैव मनोजव: । तपसो न: फलेनाद्य दारुण: सम्भवत्विति,'शौर्य और वीर्यमें इन्द्रसे वह सौगुना बढ़कर हो। उसका वेग मनके समान तीव्र हो। हमारी तपस्याके फलसे अब ऐसा ही वीर प्रकट हो जो इन्द्रके लिये भयंकर हो”
śaunaka uvāca |
indrāc chataguṇaḥ śaurye vīrye caiva manojavaḥ |
tapaso naḥ phalenādya dāruṇaḥ sambhavattv iti ||
Dijo Śaunaka: “Que sea cien veces superior a Indra en valor y poder heroico; que su rapidez sea tan veloz como la mente. Por el fruto de nuestras austeridades, que nazca hoy un guerrero así, terrible amenaza incluso para Indra.”
