Ādi-parva Adhyāya 3 — Janamejaya’s Rite, Dhaumya’s Parīkṣā, and Uttanka’s Kuṇḍala Quest (सर्पसत्रप्रस्तावना–गुरुपरीक्षा–उत्तङ्कोपाख्यान)
यस्माच्च त्वया मद्बचनमनुष्ठितं तस्माच्छेयो&वाप्स्यसि । सर्वे च ते वेदा: प्रतिभास्यन्ति सर्वाणि च धर्मशास्त्राणीति,साथ ही यह भी कहा कि, “तुमने मेरी आज्ञाका पालन किया है, इसलिये तुम कल्याणके भागी होओगे। सम्पूर्ण वेद और समस्त धर्मशास्त्र तुम्हारी बुद्धिमें स्वयं प्रकाशित हो जायूँगे”
yasmāc ca tvayā madvacanam anuṣṭhitaṃ tasmāc chreyo ’vāpsyasi | sarve ca te vedāḥ pratibhāsyanti sarvāṇi ca dharmaśāstrāṇīti |
Y añadió: “Puesto que has cumplido mi instrucción, alcanzarás lo verdaderamente auspicioso. Y todos los Vedas, así como cada tratado del dharma, resplandecerán con claridad dentro de tu entendimiento.”
