Garuḍa’s Inquiry on Permissible Prey and Vinatā’s Counsel (ब्राह्मणावध्यता–उपदेशः)
The passage underscores that cosmic functions proceed through appointed agents acting under higher authority: Aruṇa fulfills Brahmā’s command, enabling the Sun’s rising in an ordered way. It also frames anger as something with a cause that can be examined and explained rather than merely indulged.
Pramati continues an explanatory account: after Brahmā’s instruction, Aruṇa performs the necessary acts, and the Sun rises with Aruṇa as a covering/veil. Pramati states that this narration answers the listener’s question about why anger arose in the Sun.
