एवं ब्रुवन्तं दुःखार्त कि मां न प्रतिभाषसे । कृतवानपि हि त्यागं नैव शान्तिमितो लभे,मैं इस प्रकार दुःखसे आतुर होकर तुमसे पूछ रहा हूँ, तुम मुझे उत्तर क्यों नहीं देती? यद्यपि मैंने तुम्हें त्याग दिया था, तो भी यहाँसे जानेपर मुझे शान्ति नहीं मिलती थी
evaṁ bruvantaṁ duḥkhārtaṁ kiṁ māṁ na pratibhāṣase | kṛtavān api hi tyāgaṁ naiva śāntim ito labhe ||
Mandapāla, afligido por el dolor, dijo: «Mientras te hablo en esta angustia, ¿por qué no me respondes? Aunque una vez te abandoné, al marcharme de este lugar no hallé paz alguna».
मन्दपाल उवाच
Abandoning one’s relational and moral responsibilities may not bring inner peace; unresolved duty and remorse can continue to trouble the mind until one confronts the consequences and seeks reconciliation.
Mandapāla, suffering and unsettled, questions the one he addresses for remaining silent. He admits that despite having previously left/abandoned her, he could not attain peace after departing, indicating regret and a desire for response and resolution.
