Jarītā–Śārṅgā-saṃvāda: Ākhu-haraṇa and the Approach of Agni (आखुहरणं अग्न्यागमनश्च)
ततः सत्र॑ समभवत् तस्य राज्ञो महात्मन: । यथाविधि यथाकाल यथोक्तं बहुदक्षिणम्,तदनन्तर यथासमय विधिपूर्वक उन महामना नरेशका यज्ञ आरम्भ हुआ। शास्त्रमें जैसा बताया गया है, उसी ढंगसे सब कार्य हुआ। उस यज्ञमें बहुत-सी दक्षिणा दी गयी
tataḥ satraṃ samabhavat tasya rājño mahātmanaḥ | yathāvidhi yathākālaṃ yathoktaṃ bahudakṣiṇam ||
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: Después de esto, aquel rey de gran alma inició una sesión sacrificial (satra). Se llevó a cabo exactamente como prescriben las escrituras: en el tiempo debido y con el rito debido, conforme a lo enunciado, y estuvo señalada por abundantes dádivas entregadas como dakṣiṇā, los honorarios sacrificiales.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Dharma is shown as disciplined adherence to śāstric procedure (yathāvidhi), right timing (yathākāla), and faithful execution (yathoktam), joined with generosity through ample dakṣiṇā—suggesting that righteous action is both correct in method and benevolent in spirit.
After the preceding events, a noble king begins a satra (a sacrificial session). The narrator emphasizes that the rite proceeds exactly according to prescribed rules and at the proper time, and that many gifts are distributed as dakṣiṇā.
