तथा चकार तत् सर्व यथोक्त शूलपाणिना । पूर्णे तु द्वादशे वर्षे पुनरायान्महेश्वर:,भगवान् रुद्रके ऐसा कहनेपर राजा श्वेतकिने शूलयाणि शिवकी आज्ञाके अनुसार सारा कार्य सम्पन्न किया। बारहवाँ वर्ष पूर्ण होनेपर भगवान् महेश्वर पुन: आये
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
tathā cakāra tat sarvaṃ yathoktaṃ śūlapāṇinā |
pūrṇe tu dvādaśe varṣe punar āyān maheśvaraḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana dijo: El rey cumplió todo exactamente como se lo había ordenado Śūlapāṇi (Śiva). Cuando se completó el período de doce años, el Señor Maheśvara regresó de nuevo—poniendo de relieve la fuerza ética de la obediencia constante a un mandato divino y la maduración de una disciplina sostenida a lo largo del tiempo.
