स हि सर्वस्य लोकस्य हितमात्मन एव च | चिकीर्षन् सुमहातेजा रेमे भरतसत्तम,भरतश्रेष्ठ! महातेजस्वी राजा युधिष्ठिर सब लोगोंका और अपना भी हित करनेकी चेष्टामें लगे रहकर सदा प्रसन्नतापूर्वक समय बिताते थे
sa hi sarvasya lokasya hitam ātmana eva ca | cikīrṣan sumahātejā reme bharatasattama ||
Pues aquel poderoso buscaba el bien de todo el mundo y también el suyo propio. ¡Oh, el mejor de los Bharatas! El rey Yudhiṣṭhira, de gran alma, siempre empeñado en obrar lo provechoso, pasaba sus días con serena satisfacción: hallaba gozo en el propósito justo, no en el mero deleite.
