Khāṇḍava Prelude

सम्प्रहृष्टा: सम तं दृष्टवा देवर्षिममितद्युतिम्‌ । अभिवाद्य च त॑ पार्थ स्थिता: सम व्रीडितानना:,कुन्तीनन्दन! उन अमिततेजस्वी देवर्षिको देखकर हमें बड़ा हर्ष हुआ और उन्हें प्रणाम करके हम लज्जावश सिर झुकाकर वहाँ खड़ी हो गयीं

samprahṛṣṭāḥ sma taṃ dṛṣṭvā devarṣim amitadyutim | abhivādya ca taṃ pārtha sthitāḥ sma vrīḍitānanāḥ ||

Al ver a aquel sabio divino de resplandor inconmensurable, oh Pārtha, nos llenamos de júbilo. Tras rendirle respetuosos saludos, permanecimos allí con el rostro inclinado, por pudor y recato.
