Tīrtha-Sevana and the Cursed Apsaras
Grāha-Encounter at Saubhadra Tīrtha
ततः पितामहः साक्षादभिगम्य महासुरौ । वरेणच्छन्दयामास सर्वलोकहित: प्रभु:,तब सम्पूर्ण लोकोंके हितैषी पितामह साक्षात् भगवान् ब्रह्माने उन दोनों महादैत्योंके निकट आकर उन्हें इच्छानुसार वर माँगनेको कहा
tataḥ pitāmahaḥ sākṣād abhigamya mahāsurau | vareṇecchandayāmāsa sarvalokahitaḥ prabhuḥ ||
Entonces el Abuelo mismo—Brahmā, el soberano que vela por el bien de todos los mundos—se acercó en persona a aquellos dos poderosos asuras y los invitó a escoger un don conforme a su deseo.
नारद उवाच
Power and privilege (symbolized by boons) are framed within cosmic welfare: the divine ruler offers gifts not merely as favors but as instruments that can uphold or disrupt dharma depending on the recipient’s intent and self-restraint.
Nārada narrates that Brahmā personally approaches two mighty asuras and invites them to ask for a boon of their choosing, setting up the next development where their requested boon will shape subsequent events.
