Gaṅgādvāra-tīrtha, Ulūpī-saṃvāda, and Arjuna’s Dharma-Deliberation (गङ्गाद्वार-तीर्थम्, उलूपी-संवादः)
ततस्ते पाण्डवास्तत्र गत्वा कृष्णपुरोगमा: । मण्डयांचक्रिरे तद् वै परं स्वर्गवदच्युता:,तदनन्तर अपनी मर्यादासे कभी च्युत न होनेवाले पाण्डवोंने श्रीकृष्णसहित वहाँ जाकर उस स्थानको उत्तम स्वर्गलोककी भाँति शोभायमान कर दिया
tatas te pāṇḍavās tatra gatvā kṛṣṇapurogamaḥ | maṇḍayāṃ cakrire tad vai paraṃ svargavad acyutāḥ ||
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: Luego los Pāṇḍavas, con Kṛṣṇa marchando delante como guía, fueron a aquel lugar y lo hicieron resplandeciente—verdaderamente como el más alto cielo—sin apartarse jamás de los límites justos de su conducta y su deber.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Steadfast adherence to dharma and proper limits (maryādā) is portrayed as beautifying and sanctifying one’s surroundings; righteous people, guided by a worthy leader, elevate a place into something ‘heaven-like’ through conduct rather than mere display.
The Pāṇḍavas arrive at a particular location with Kṛṣṇa leading them, and by their presence and arrangements they make the place splendid, comparable to heaven; the narrator emphasizes their steadiness and unswerving propriety.
