Arjuna Restores a Brāhmaṇa’s Cattle and Accepts Forest Exile
Satya-vrata at Khaṇḍavaprastha
स भवान् पाणए्जुपुत्राणामाज्ञापयतु मा चिरम् | गमन॑ सहदाराणामेतदत्र मतं मम,अतः आप पत्नीसहित पाण्डवोंको हस्तिनापुर चलनेके लिये शीघ्र आज्ञा दीजिये। इस विषयमें मेरी सम्मति यही है
sa bhavān pāṇḍuputrāṇām ājñāpayatu mā ciram | gamanaṃ sahadārāṇām etad atra mataṃ mama ||
Dijo Vidura: «Que Vuestra Majestad, sin demora, dé la orden a los hijos de Pāṇḍu de partir—junto con sus esposas—hacia Hastināpura. Éste es, en este asunto, mi consejo meditado.»
विदुर उवाच
Vidura emphasizes prompt, responsible governance: a ruler should act without delay when duty requires safeguarding and properly receiving rightful heirs and their families, guided by prudent counsel rather than hesitation.
Vidura advises the king to quickly command the Pāṇḍavas—along with their wives—to travel to Hastināpura, presenting this as his firm recommendation in the ongoing situation.
