Intelligence Reports and the Kaurava Court’s Response

Educational Q&A

When a contest has been publicly defined and fairly concluded, one should honor the declared rule and accept the result without indulging in grief that only produces further suffering; ethical restraint and adherence to agreed dharma are emphasized.

Dhṛṣṭadyumna points out that Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī) has been won according to the announced condition in the assembly of kings, and he urges the Somaka king (Drupada) not to lament or act in a way that would undermine the rightful outcome.
