उच्चैःश्रवसः वर्णविपणः तथा नागशापः
Uccaiḥśravas Color-Wager and the Nāga Curse
तमग्निममरश्रेष्ठ: प्रदहन्तमितस्तत: । वारिणा मेघजेनेन्द्र:ः शमयामास सर्वश:,तब देवराज इन्द्रने इधर-उधर सबको जलाती हुई उस आगको मेघोंके द्वारा जल बरसाकर सब ओरसे बुझा दिया
tam agnim amaraśreṣṭhaḥ pradahantam itas tataḥ | vāriṇā meghajenendraḥ śamayāmāsa sarvaśaḥ ||
Entonces Indra, el más excelso entre los inmortales, al ver aquel fuego ardiendo y devorándolo todo en todas direcciones, hizo caer lluvia de aguas nacidas de las nubes y lo extinguió por completo, por todos lados.
