कान्यकुब्जे महानासीत् पार्थिवो भरतर्षभ । गाधीति विश्रुतो लोके कुशिकस्यात्मसम्भव:,भरतवंशशिरोमणे! कान्यकुब्ज देशमें एक बहुत बड़े राजा थे, जो इस लोकमें गाधिके नामसे विख्यात थे। वे कुशिकके औरस पुत्र बताये जाते हैं
kānyakubje mahān āsīt pārthivo bharatarṣabha | gādhīti viśruto loke kuśikasyātmasambhavaḥ ||
El Gandharva dijo: «Oh toro entre los Bharata, en Kānyakubja reinó antaño un poderoso monarca, célebre en el mundo con el nombre de Gādhi. Se decía que había nacido como verdadero hijo de Kuśika».
