तस्मादेवं विजानीहि कुरूणां वंशवर्धन । ब्राह्मणप्रमुखं राज्यं शक््यं पालयितुं चिरम्,अतः कौरवोंके कुलकी वृद्धि करनेवाले अर्जुन] आप यह जान लें कि जहाँ विद्वान् ब्राह्मणोंकी प्रधानता हो, उसी राज्यकी दीर्घकालतक रक्षा की जा सकती है
tasmād evaṁ vijānīhi kurūṇāṁ vaṁśavardhana | brāhmaṇapramukhaṁ rājyaṁ śakyaṁ pālayituṁ ciram ||
Por tanto, entiende esto, oh acrecentador de la estirpe de los Kuru: sólo aquel reino en el que los brahmanes sabios ocupan la primacía puede ser protegido y sostenido por largo tiempo.
