देवगन्धर्ववाहास्ते दिव्यवर्णा मनोजवा: । क्षीणाक्षीणा भवन्त्येते न हीयन्ते च रंहस:,वे घोड़े देवताओं और गन्धर्वोंके वाहन हैं। उनके शरीरकी कान्ति दिव्य है। वे मनके समान वेगशाली और आवश्यकताके अनुसार दुबले-मोटे होते हैं; किंतु उनका वेग कभी कम नहीं होता
devagandharvavāhās te divyavarṇā manojavāḥ | kṣīṇākṣīṇā bhavanty ete na hīyante ca raṁhasaḥ ||
Dijo el Gandharva: «Estos caballos son las monturas de los dioses y de los Gandharvas. Su resplandor es sobrenatural, y su velocidad iguala a la del pensamiento. Pueden volverse enjutos o corpulentos según lo requiera la ocasión, pero su rapidez jamás disminuye».
