Aurva Episode: Restoration of Sight and Restraint of World-Destructive Anger
आरात् तिष्ठत मा महां समीपमुपसर्पत । कस्मान्मां नाभिजानीत प्राप्त भागीरथीजलम्,“अरे, ओ मनुष्यो! दूर ही खड़े रहो। मेरे समीप न आना। तुम्हें ज्ञात कैसे नहीं हुआ कि मैं गन्धर्वराज अंगारपर्ण गंगाजीके जलमें उतरा हुआ हूँ। तुमलोग मुझे (अच्छी तरह) जान लो, मैं अपने ही बलका भरोसा करनेवाला स्वाभिमानी, ईर्ष्यालु तथा कुबेरका प्रिय मित्र हूँ
ārāt tiṣṭhata mā māṁ samīpam upasarpata | kasmān māṁ nābhijānīta prāpta-bhāgīrathī-jalam |
Vaiśampāyana dijo: «Retroceded y quedaos a distancia; no os acerquéis a mí. ¿Por qué no me reconocéis, ahora que he entrado en las aguas de la Bhāgīrathī (el Gaṅgā)?»
