Vasiṣṭha as Purohita: Ascetic Mastery and Royal Counsel
तान् भीतान् विगतज्ञानान् भीम: प्रहरतां वर: । सान्त्वयामास बलवान् समये च न्यवेशयत्
tān bhītān vigatajñānān bhīmaḥ praharatāṃ varaḥ | sāntvayāmāsa balavān samaye ca nyaveśayat ||
Vaiśampāyana dijo: Al verlos aterrados y privados de juicio, Bhīma—el primero entre los que asestan golpes—empleó su fuerza no sólo para castigar, sino para sostenerlos: tranquilizó a los hombres asustados y, en el momento oportuno, los devolvió al orden debido.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Strength is most dharmic when paired with restraint and timely judgment: a true leader calms panic, restores discernment, and re-establishes order instead of exploiting fear.
Those present have become frightened and mentally unsettled; Bhīma, renowned for martial power, reassures them and positions them appropriately at the right time, bringing the situation back under control.
