Saṃvaraṇa’s Collapse, Ministerial Aid, and Vasiṣṭha’s Approach to Sūrya
Brooding over another’s excellence, especially with envy and fear, destroys inner peace; unethical counsel and fixation on rivalry lead to suffering rather than wise action.
Yudhiṣṭhira describes Duryodhana’s mental state: he and Śakuni lie awake at night, distressed as they repeatedly contemplate the extraordinary prowess of a rival hero, indicating growing anxiety and hostility.
