The daughter’s lament on lineage and protection
इदं शरणमाग्नेयं मदर्थमिति मे मति: । पुरोचनेन विहितं धार्तराष्ट्स्य शासनात्,“यह घर आग भड़कानेवाले पदार्थोंसे बना है। हमारा विश्वास है कि दुर्योधनके आदेशसे पुरोचनने हमारे लिये ही इसे बनवाया है
idam śaraṇam āgneyam madartham iti me matiḥ | purocanena vihitaṃ dhārtarāṣṭrasya śāsanāt |
Vaiśampāyana dijo: «A mi juicio, este refugio está hecho de materiales que avivan el fuego, destinado a nuestra destrucción. Creo que Purocana lo construyó expresamente para nosotros, obedeciendo la orden del hijo de Dhṛtarāṣṭra (Duryodhana)».
