Ādi Parva, Adhyāya 146 — Brāhmaṇī’s counsel on grief, duty, and protection of children
This line is a colophon marking the end of a chapter; it does not present a direct ethical injunction, but it situates the reader within the Jatugṛha episode and the Bhīma–Yudhiṣṭhira dialogue, where themes of prudence, protection of life, and dharmic strategy are developed in the surrounding narrative.
The verse functions as an editorial/narrative closure: it announces that the chapter has concluded within the Ādi Parva, specifically in the lac-house (Jatugṛha) section, and that the preceding content belonged to the conversation between Bhīmasena and Yudhiṣṭhira.
