Bhīma’s Search for Water and the Forest Halt
Even a powerful warrior must submit to restraint and right counsel; zeal for combat (yuddha-dharma) is not itself sufficient—discipline and adherence to guidance prevent excess and uphold dharma.
In Vaiśaṃpāyana’s narration to King Janamejaya, Bhīma is eager to continue according to the warrior code, but Arjuna checks him; despite being unsated for battle, Bhīma turns back and withdraws.
