एवमुक्ता तु सा देवी तथा चक्रे पतिव्रता । यथोक्तमेव तद्वाक्यं भद्रा पुत्रार्थिनी तदा,आकाशवाणीके यों कहनेपर पुत्रकी इच्छा रखनेवाली पतिव्रता भद्रादेवीने पतिकी पूर्वोक्त आज्ञाका अक्षरश: पालन किया
evamuktā tu sā devī tathā cakre pativratā | yathoktam eva tad vākyaṃ bhadrā putrārthinī tadā ||
Vaiśampāyana dijo: Así interpelada, aquella noble dama —firme en la fidelidad conyugal— hizo exactamente lo mismo. Entonces Bhadrā, deseosa de un hijo, cumplió al pie de la letra la instrucción de su esposo, tal como había sido pronunciada.
