स देवराजसदृशो धर्मज्ञ: सत्यवागृजु: । दानधर्मतपोयोगाच्छ़िया परमया युतः,वे देवराज इन्द्रके समान पराक्रमी, धर्मज्ञ, सत्यवादी तथा सरल थे। दान, धर्म और तपस्या तीनोंके योगसे उनमें दिव्य कान्तिकी वृद्धि हो रही थी
sa devarājasadṛśo dharmajñaḥ satyavāg ṛjuḥ | dānadharmatapoyogāc chriyā paramayā yutaḥ ||
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: Era como el rey de los dioses—conocedor del dharma, veraz en su palabra y recto en su proceder. Por la práctica conjunta de la generosidad, el deber justo y la austeridad, estaba dotado del más alto esplendor, y su radiancia divina crecía sin cesar.
