अहं त्वचक्षु: कार्पण्यात्‌ पुत्रप्रीत्या सहामि तत्‌ | मुहान्तं चानुमुह्यामि दुर्योधनमचेतनम्‌,मैं अंधा हूँ, अतः कुछ दीनताके कारण और कुछ पुत्रोंके प्रति अधिक आसक्ति होनेसे भी वह सब अन्याय सहता आ रहा हूँ। मन्दबुद्धि दुर्योधन जब मोहवश दुःखी होता था, तब मैं भी उसके साथ दुःखी हो जाता था

Transliteration

ahaṃ tvacakṣuḥ kārpaṇyāt putraprītyā sahāmi tat | muhāntaṃ cānumuhyāmi duryodhanam acetanam ||

Translation

Yo soy ciego; y por una debilidad digna de compasión, y por un afecto desmedido hacia mis hijos, he venido soportando toda esa injusticia. Cuando el insensato Duryodhana, engañado por la ilusión, caía en la aflicción, yo también me afligía con él.
