FAQs

It identifies Shiva as the revealer of the Āgamas through the “pillar” (stambha), pointing to the Linga as the authoritative symbol and locus through which right Śaiva worship and doctrine are established.

Shiva is presented as Pati who is intrinsically pure (sāttvika), truth-founded, free from deceit, and the remover of obstacles and hypocrisy—qualities that loosen pasha (bondage) and steady the pashu (soul) toward liberation.

The verse emphasizes sāttvika discipline—truthfulness and inner purity—aligned with Agamic/Linga-centered worship; such cultivation supports Pāśupata-oriented sādhanā by reducing hypocrisy and strengthening sattva.
