सर्वपर्वसु पुण्येषु विषुवेष्वयनेषु च पृथिव्यां सर्वतीर्थानि वाराणस्यां तु जाह्नवीम्
sarvaparvasu puṇyeṣu viṣuveṣvayaneṣu ca pṛthivyāṃ sarvatīrthāni vārāṇasyāṃ tu jāhnavīm
En todas las sagradas confluencias festivas, en los equinoccios y en los solsticios, están presentes todos los tīrtha santos de la tierra; pero en Vārāṇasī se manifiesta de modo especial la Jāhnavī (Gaṅgā).
