ध्यानयज्ञः, संसार-विष-निरूपणम्, पाशुपतयोगः, परा-अपरा विद्या, चतुर्वस्था-विचारः (अध्यायः ८६)
क्रमो ऽयं मलपूर्णस्य ज्ञानप्राप्तेर्द्विजोत्तमाः तस्मादनेन मार्गेण त्यक्तसंगो दृढव्रतः
kramo 'yaṃ malapūrṇasya jñānaprāpterdvijottamāḥ tasmādanena mārgeṇa tyaktasaṃgo dṛḍhavrataḥ
Oh el mejor de los nacidos dos veces, éste es el método gradual por el cual un ser colmado de mala (impureza) alcanza el conocimiento verdadero. Por ello, siguiendo este mismo sendero—renunciando al apego y permaneciendo firme en el voto—se llega al jñāna que conduce al paśu (alma atada) hacia el Pati (Señor Śiva).
