Suta Goswami (narrating Shaiva teaching within the Linga Purana discourse)
It defines the inner criterion of successful Shiva-puja: when worship ripens into prasanna (clarity) and ekāgratā (one-pointed absorption), the sādhaka touches jñāna; otherwise practice remains in ajñāna.
By implication, Shiva as Pati is realized through purified, concentrated awareness; when the pashu’s mind becomes calm and single-pointed, the veiling pasha (ajñāna) loosens and knowledge shines.
Ekāgratā-based meditation central to Pāśupata Yoga—steadying the mind through mantra-japa, dhyāna on the Linga, and inward stillness as the test of genuine jñāna.
