देवादिसृष्टिकथनम् (वसिष्ठशोकः, पराशरजन्म, एकलिङ्गपूजा, रुद्रदर्शनम्)
द्रष्टुमिच्छामि भगवन् पितरं भ्रातृभिः सह एवं विज्ञापयांल्लिङ्गं प्रणिपत्य मुहुर्मुहुः
draṣṭumicchāmi bhagavan pitaraṃ bhrātṛbhiḥ saha evaṃ vijñāpayāṃlliṅgaṃ praṇipatya muhurmuhuḥ
«¡Oh Señor Bienaventurado! Deseo contemplar a mi padre junto con mis hermanos». Así, postrándose una y otra vez ante el Liṅga, elevó su súplica fervorosa, buscando al Pati, el Señor cuya gracia afloja el pāśa, el lazo que ata al paśu (el alma).
