Adhyaya 61 — ग्रह-नक्षत्र-स्थाननिर्णयः

Cosmic Abodes of Luminaries and the Shaiva Order of Time

नक्षत्राणां श्रविष्ठा स्याद् अयनानां तथोत्तरम् वर्षाणां चैव पञ्चानाम् आद्यः संवत्सरः स्मृतः

nakṣatrāṇāṃ śraviṣṭhā syād ayanānāṃ tathottaram varṣāṇāṃ caiva pañcānām ādyaḥ saṃvatsaraḥ smṛtaḥ

Entre los nakṣatras, Śraviṣṭhā (Dhaniṣṭhā) es declarado el más eminente; entre los ayanas, el curso septentrional (Uttarāyaṇa) es igualmente supremo. Y entre los cinco modos de cómputo del año, el Saṃvatsara es recordado como el primero; así se clasifica el kāla (tiempo) para la recta observancia en el orden de Śiva.
