Se dice que su movimiento se extiende hacia abajo y hacia arriba; esto se proclama como Suṣumnā (el canal central). En la dirección oriental está el llamado Harikeśa, también célebre como Ṛkṣayoni.
Suta Goswami
It links outer sacred orientation (east and its presiding power) with the inner axis (Suṣumnā), implying that Linga worship is fulfilled when ritual directionality is united with inward ascent toward Pati (Śiva).
By emphasizing the Suṣumnā as the up-and-down course, it points to Śiva as the transcendent inner pillar (like the Linga) through which the bound soul (paśu) rises beyond bonds (pāśa) toward liberation.
A yogic focus on the Suṣumnā—steadying prāṇa and awareness in the central channel—together with attention to the eastern orientation, aligning inner practice with outer pūjā discipline.
