सेचयेदर्चनस्थानं गन्धचन्दनवारिणा द्रव्याणि शोधयेत्पश्चात् क्षालनप्रोक्षणादिभिः
secayedarcanasthānaṃ gandhacandanavāriṇā dravyāṇi śodhayetpaścāt kṣālanaprokṣaṇādibhiḥ
Debe humedecerse el lugar de adoración con agua impregnada de fragancia y sándalo; después, han de purificarse los materiales rituales mediante el lavado, la aspersión y los demás actos prescritos, para que el culto al Pati (Śiva) se realice con limpieza externa e interna, aflojando los lazos (pāśa) del paśu (el alma atada).
