Brahmā’s Curse, Four Births, and the Dharma of Shared Embodiment

Draupadī/Kṛṣṇā

FAQs

This verse warns against forming accusations of adultery based on superficial narratives; it frames such suspicion as improper thinking (na cintayet) and upholds dharma by discouraging slander.

It states that no sexual union occurred in Draupadī’s body involving Śacī and others (and even Vāyu), so the idea of ‘anyagāmitva’ (adultery) should not be applied to Kṛṣṇā/Draupadī.

Avoid character-judgments and gossip; interpret sacred narratives with restraint and charity, and do not project immoral intent where the text explicitly denies it.
