Pañcatattva-Pūjā: The Fivefold Vyuha of Hari, Mantras, Nyāsa, Maṇḍala, and Stotra
Lord Vishnu (in dialogue with Garuda/Vinata-putra)
Concept: Worship of Śaṅkara (as Vāsudeva-bhakta) grants kāma (desired aims) and a sense of kṛtakṛtyatā (life’s completion).
Vedantic Theme: Devotee-saints as conduits of grace; harmonization of deities under the Supreme; bhakti yields both artha/kāma and supports mokṣa-readiness.
Application: Honor great devotees/teachers and cultivate devotion through simple, consistent worship; measure success by inner completeness rather than accumulation.
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Type: ritual space
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 1.32.39 (Nīlalohita praised with hymns)
This verse states that Śaṅkara is an excellent bestower of desired aims and that mere worship of him makes a person kṛtakṛtya—spiritually and duty-wise fulfilled.
It presents Śaṅkara in connection with Vāsudeva, emphasizing reverence and alignment rather than rivalry—supporting a Hari-Hara harmony within the Purāṇic teaching.
Maintain steady devotional practice (regular pūjā, mantra, and ethical living) with sincerity; the verse highlights that consistent worship itself is a powerful means to inner completion.
